One week back I saw the movie Parazzhi Raja.. I was in a
bit of a double mind on whether to watch this movie or not
after havin watched Jodha Akbar.. you must be wonderin why
this comparison between two completely different movies..
Actually I was more or less associatin them on the basis of
length.. Jodha Akbar was one movie that made me feel like
runnin away from the theatre mid way through.. It was so
long that it made me cry.. Yeah I admit the picturisation,
choreography, songs, costumes, Hrithik 'n Aishwarya(even
though she did look a bit tired 'n old in some parts..)
were mindblowin.. but too much of beauty was gettin on my
nerves.. I do agree a thing of beauty is a joy forever but
4 hours of continuous beauty was pretty suffocating.. I started
yearnin for the ugly or plain truths of life..

Ok lets cut this short 'n come to the main topic here that
is Parazhi Raja.. My fears were unfounded 'n I did enjoy
the movie even though it too was a bit long.. Mammooty as
always was good but I wont say this is his best... I have
seen him in much more awesome roles than this.. I believe
Sharat as his deputy 'n Manoj K. Jayan as the tribal
warrior just stole the show.. This was the first time I was
seein Sharath in a movie.. I only knew him as this handsome
guy married to Radhika.. He not only looks good but acts
well too.. Manoj, every mallu knows he's a great actor.. 'n
he proved it yet again.. How could I forget Padma Priya..
one of my favourite actress.. She's one actor who
literally lives the role.. Whatever role she does
she makes it believable whether it be a beggar or a warrior
princess.. she's someone who's so comfortable in her skin..
Completely relaxed 'n a natural actor.. But her role was cut I
believe coz in one scene she was shown fightin the British
then all of a sudden the focus shifted to Sharat 'n that's it.. after
that there was no mention of what happened to her...

Among the British actors I should mention this particular
guy who played the collector I believe, dont remember
the name.. He was one actor who had the same expression
through out the movie.. whether that was deliberate or
was he such a bad actor, I have no idea.. Whether he was
cryin or smilin or being angry he had the same constipated
kinda expression on his face.. The girl who played his fiancee
was real cute but why she was in the movie no one had a clue..

The picturisation, the songs, the overall look of the movie
was pretty nice.. I especially loved the guerilla kinda
warfare that they showed in the movie.. A small band of
warriors takin on a big army reminded me of Asterix 'n
Obelix takin on the Roman army..

The end scene actually should have made me sad
but I ended up laughin.. At the end obviously
Parazzhi Raja dies 'n he's bein carried off in this
palaquin.. Among the palanquin bearers the guy
in the front was literally staggerin.. Just watchin him
stagger along we started laughin.. Thank God there were
no true blue Mammootty fans out there otherwise I
wouldnt be alive to tell the tale..

Dance in the Rain.....

The following passage I got as a mail.. I found it so beautiful I couldnt help posting it.. Go Ahead.. Enjoy!!

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.
He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.
As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'
He smiled as he patted my hand and said,
'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.'
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arms, and thought,
'That is the kind of love I want in my life.'
True love is neither physical, nor romantic.
True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.
The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have..
'Life isn't about how to survive the storm,
but how to dance in the rain..'

Actually this is more of a reply to one of my friend's blogs.. I actually started this as a comment but it got so long that I just thought of posting it as a blog.. Now to understand what am blabberin about, you first gotta check out Harish's blog..
Harish had said that he doesnt believe in good or bad/just or unjust.. He says that good- bad divide was created by man.. God has no hand in this..
It's true that God certainly wanted everyone to be good.. 'n it was evident initially in the Garden of Eden..wherein Adam 'n Eve were very happy to just be together 'n it would have gone on like that if Mr. Devil didnt intervene... but come to think of it's not that bad either coz if Adam hadnt had that apple we guys wont be here to debate on the issue of good 'n bad.. So this shows good 'n bad go hand in hand.. For every good thing that happens there's something bad happenin somewhere else.. it's that bad thing that makes the good look so good to us, maybe..

What I really mean is whether something is good or bad / just or unjust.. it depends on one's point of view.. what's good for me may be bad for someone else.. Like we consider HItler as cruel 'n unjust but there are lotsa ppl who believe that whatever he did was just.. we have wars 'n stuff .. when we kill our enemies it seems just to us but from their point of view we were downright cruel.. so its very difficult to say what is good or wot is bad..

But I feel that there are certain things that cant be justified at all.. like people killin for no rhyme or reason.. children being abused.. women gettin raped.. people havin fun at the expense of others misery cant be called anythin else other than B.A.D.. bad!!!

'n coming back to Parikshit's story people tend to associate the lion 'n the jackal with enlightenment 'n darkness resp. on the basis of the verbs or actions that follow.. This was really a grammatical association rather than spiritual..:) 'n I dont think it had anythin to do with the lion or jackal's character.. here we are not judging who's good or bad.. anyways have never thought that lions or tigers or for tht matter any wild animal tht kills is bad coz they dont kill for fun but for survival..
Its just an example 'n it has to be believable so as to get the message through... I dont think so Parikshit would have got the message thru with an example like "when a rat enters the jungle the lion flees.." it's not believeable at all unless 'n until the rat has drunk the magic potion made by Getafix.. :)
Am I makin sense.. I dont think so.. I do have this bad habit of over explainin.. you know in school my ma'm used to cut marks in paragraph writin coz I almost always used to exceed the 100 words limit.. So I should put a full stop here.. 'n one more thing am pretty bad with punctuations.. so please bear with me.. am more on the lines of.. The PANDA EATS, SHOOTS and LEAVES.. So whereever I missed out on the comma or colon or the likes please imagine it to be there 'n read on..
Merci beaucoup...

Trying to make some sense out of nonsense...

While playin mafia wars I remembered about this crazy thing
that most people do including me.. More than half of the
facebook population play mafia wars 'n farmville.. 2 games
that are as alike as chalk 'n cheese.. One game allows us
to do all kinda illegal 'n bad things 'n the other one
makes us into this angel of a person who does so much for
the society by plantin trees 'n takin care of animals.. 'n
the crazy thing is that the people who wont spare even 5 mins tending their
own l'l garden will spend hours 'n hours planting virtual
trees.. Most of the time have noticed we play mafia
wars first and then run over to farmville to plant trees as if to
purge the sins we committed in mafia wars.. this is
somethin that happens in real life too.. people do all kinda
bad things 'n run off to temple to bribe God to make Him
turn a blind eye towards their crimes.. This reminds me of
this incident that happened wherein a robber left a note
sayin that he's sorry to have stolen.. he wrote that he has
no other way but to steal coz he's poor.. 'n that too, this
guy, he robbed a church.. 'n the funny thing is, the church
too didnt have much money in their safe so he stole some
electronic equipments.. I believe there's this quote in the Bible that says,
"God helps those who help themselves.." So this poor guy just helped
himself with some of the goodies off the church..
So what can the church do.. They are supposed to help the
poor 'n they are God's messiahs on earth..

Now back to mafia wars 'n farmville.. sometimes I wonder
why do I even bother to play these games.. they are pretty
dumb.. coz we dont need to do anythin other than clickin some buttons ...
no strategisin .. no tactics.. basically we can put our brain into an idle mode
while playin these games.. then y do I play these games ..
that's a million dollar question.. maybe just for the sake
of playin.. or coz everyone else is playin .. or bein
somethin am not or doin somethin I cant do in real life
gives me a kick. Dont know.. will think about it.. feelin a bit sleepy right now.. will just sleep over the matter.. who knows maybe I might get an answer in my sleep..

PS: Dont ask me why I wrote this blog.. just wanted to write something.. so wrote.. it doesnt make much sense even to me.. one moment I was playin mafia wars 'n the next moment am writin this blog.. hmmm....
